Sauer System slotter heads are manufactured from the highest grade cast iron and feature a split design with a dowel pin at the split line which assures perfect circular bore alignment and full integral index stamping around the O.D. All Sauer System slotter heads are machined with tight bore tolerances and stringent face runout tolerances to ensure true running parts. When possible, heads include modular features such as replaceable yoke wear plates, insert keyways, and can ship as full assemblies.
Slotter Head Design
Heads are made from the finest quality continuously cast grey iron or grey iron castings to ensure the heads don't gall the shaft, creating long-term problems. Heads are plated to prevent corrosion. Upper slotter heads are permanently index stamped on the O.D. for quick setups.
