Folding belt pulleys are critical to machine operation but are prone to issues that can prevent normal operation:
Sauer split pulleys are a direct replacement and have the following features:
- Split design for ease of installation and removal
- You can remove the split pulleys to clean out the bore without having to pull the shaft
- Multiple working keyways
- Keyway inserts can be replaced if a keyway wears out
- There are multiple reliefs in the bore for optimal sliding
- “Bolt-on ring” design allows the bonded polyurethane ring to be replaced
- A spare bolt-on ring is included as part of the set
- Bolt-on rings can be returned to Sauer to have the polyurethane rebonded
